PERKLER™ is a community designed to enable people to access and share information about loyalty programs and their associated benefits. As such the collection, and sharing of, information is an important part of obtaining maximum benefit from interacting with PERKLER™.
We do however provide this privacy policy and tools to enable you to manage and control how information is shared.

Information Collection & Use
General Collection
PERKLER™ contains a detailed search engine (“The PERKOLATOR ™”) that can be accessed and used without the need to become a registered user. Information collected during this process may include both information input by you - search terms including likes, location and loyalty program listings, and information gathered about you such as IP address, pages viewed and click-through information via server logs.
All of this information will be stored in our database in order to improve our products and services.
Registration and Member Generated Content
PERKLER™ is designed to give you a tailored and personalised experience. Our aim is to deliver aggregated data to you for your benefit based on the broad parameters of likes, location and loyalty programs.
In order to use all of the services associated with PERKLER™, you will be asked to complete a registration form and create a username and password.
You are not required to provide us with your contact details or other personal information. However, we note:
If you do not provide us with your contact details, we will not be able to verify your account and hence provide you with the information you have requested; and if you choose not to enter personal information about your likes and location, we accordingly will not be able to tailor our search results to your likes and location.
Registration with PERKLER™ automatically generates a Member Profile Page. This Profile Page allows you to formally add additional detail such as your location, age, likes and program membership (“Member Content”). Your Profile comes with fully adjustable privacy settings and you decide what Member Content is shared and with whom.
Once registered you can generate Member Content by updating or editing your profile (including photos or avatars if you choose to), joining forums and discussions and contacting and communicating with other Members and Program Owners.
When you enter PERKLER™ we will collect this updated and growing content and store it in our database to enable the development of better and more refined services for you. We will also use log files to collect and store information about usage times, IP address, click through, user name and login details (not including your password). We use a temporary cookie to create a session ID.

Whilst PERKLER™ maintains physical, administrative and electronic security provisions you should consider all information you enter on PERKLER™ to be in the public domain. You enter this information at your own risk and we cannot control the actions of other users or third parties who might seek to access and interfere with your Member Content.
You should understand that even after you cease using PERKLER™ some content might be viewable in archived web pages and on other PERKLER™ Member Profile Pages.
Under no circumstances will PERKLER™ ask you for or require Official or Financial Information such as credit card or social security numbers and we advise you not to place these anywhere on the site.
If you think the privacy settings have been compromised you can report this at any time at privacy at PERKLER™ dot com.
By using PERKLER™ you are consenting to having this registration and Member Content transmitted to Australia and the United States, and any other jurisdiction where we may hold content.
Age Eligibility
PERKLER™ is not intended for use by people under the age of 18. If PERKLER™ identifies material (registration, or any other Member Content) has been created by a person aged 17 or under it reserves the right to delete or remove this information, including attempts to re-register.
Uses of Information
As described above, PERKLER™ collects information for the express use of refining existing or identifying new products and services for members. In order to do this PERKLER™ will aggregate Member Content to understand segments of members (age, geographic region, program membership), their likes, usage of the site and other data as it arises. This aggregated data will never be connected to personally identifying information such as email addresses unless approved by you.
In the future PERKLER™ may use aggregated data to target advertising and information from loyalty programs to members directly and as such you should read the section headed “Third Parties”. We will also send you service related announcements via email unless you opt-out of this in your account settings.
Access to Information
Individuals accessing this site whose personal information is collected have the right to access and correct that information. Access may be subject to a fee.
Communication from the Site
Special Offers and Updates
We will occasionally send you information on new services or features.
Out of respect for your privacy, we present the option not to receive these types of communications. You can choose this option in your Account Settings.
Service-related Announcements
We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.
Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)
PERKLER™ is designed to make you aware of the Perks you are already entitled to and may be interested in due to your current membership profile, likes or location.
As such we share aggregated demographic information about our user base with our partners and advertisers (primarily owners of loyalty programs). This information does not identify individual users. The information is used by potential advertisers to target their messages and special offers to members, forums and groups who have displayed an interest in their program or type of program.
We do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information.
PERKLER™ is based on providing links directly to loyalty program sites that are external to PERKLER™. Advertisers and partners who run these external sites may use technology or business processes to collect information that helps them identify the success of their advertising. PERKLER™ does not extend this privacy policy to any connected external site and suggests that you acquaint yourself with the relevant sites’ privacy policies if you link to them.
Personally Identifiable Information
We Share Personally Identifiable Information only with Third Party Agencies who have been contracted to provide a service such as maintenance, hosting or CRM or database capabilities. PERKLER™ takes all care to establish contractual requirements on these providers in line with this Privacy Policy but cannot guarantee against misuse by any of these organisations.
Sharing information with Loyalty Program Providers
Please note, we are not responsible for protecting any personal information which you provide directly to loyalty program providers. If you provide personal details to loyalty program providers directly you should review the privacy policies of those loyalty program providers before providing them with your details.
PERKLER™ does not provide any personal information of yours to loyalty program providers, except in the case of the “Join Up” option – a voluntary feature. See the relevant section for privacy details for the “Join Up” function.
Other Third Parties
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our website.
Choice/Opt-out
As a Member of PERKLER™ you decide and control how much personal information you give us. To participate in a range of services on PERKLER™ we require only a username and email address. All additional information you enter via the Member Profile Page, or via communication with other members or advertisers is done at your discretion.
We do still, however, provide you the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having your personally identifiable information and any Member Content on your profile page visible to other users. You can choose this option in your account settings.
You will be notified if your personal information is collected by any third party that is not our agent/service provider, so you can make an informed choice as to whether or not to share your information with that party.
Log Files
As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyse trends, to administer the site, to track usersâ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.
We do not link this automatically collected data to personally identifiable information.

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.
We only use session ID cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. A session ID cookie expires when you close you browser. We do not use persistent cookies on PERKLER™.

PERKLER™ Features
PERKLER™ forums
If you use the forums on this site, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums. We also reserve the right to terminate the account of any member who misuses this facility in relation to the PERKLER™ Terms of Use.
PERKLER™ “Join Up” Facility
A key feature of PERKLER™ is the facilitation of your membership of loyalty programs via the “Join Up” button. If you action this button in reference to any program you will be asked for relevant personal information required and given an opt-out option there. If you do not opt-out you have given PERKLER™ permission to provide relevant personal details to Third Party Agencies (Partner Loyalty Programs) so that you can join their program.
This facility is only in reference to the Join Up button and does not relate to general linking to external sites via advertising or perk links. In these cases you will need to refer to the Terms of Conditions and Privacy Policies of the relevant sites.
A list of loyalty programs that are party to the “Join Up” facility will be published here. Currently there are no agreements in place.
Access to Personally Identifiable Information
If your personally identifiable information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, delete or deactivate your account details via the Member Profile Page Account Settings.
Security
The security of your personal information is important to us. You have no need to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number) on this site and should not do so.
Other personal information such as phone numbers, location etc, if you choose to enter is, is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
